The SMS Smart SSD Direct Drill is available in two models of the SSD 300 and SSD 400. The machines have a working width of 300cm and 400cm respectively.

The SMS Smart SSD Direct Drill is a compact direct seeder primarily aimed at the reseeding of grassland. In addition to this it can also be used for sowing a range of other crops from cereals to cover crops. Available in two models, the SSD 300 and SSD 400 have working widths of 300cm and 400cm respectively. Rubber mounted seeding discs of 410mm in diameter are fitted to both models within the range and benefit from a spacing of 125mm between the rows. The working depth of the machine is set and adjusted hydraulically on the rear roller.. When it comes to compaction after seeding both models have a choice of rear roller options available.

A choice of seeder hopper capacities of between 200 and 800 litres can be fitted to both models. Both hydraulic and electric fan options are available to suit your intended seed rates. In addition, a range of control box options are available from the simple switch box to full IsoBus integration. As standard, the machine is supplied with two seeder shafts, however a full range of shafts are available on request. All seeder options fitted to the SMS Smart SSD direct drill feature a quick and simple calibration function. A choice of seed flow regulation sensors are available dependent on the version of control box fitted. Working speeds of a maximum of 8kph to 15kph can be achieved dependent on seed rate and size of tractor.
