Full Details

The Compost Systems TracTurn 3.7 Compost Turner is a heavy duty machine tractor mounted machine. It is fitted with a 3.7 metre long horizontal rotor fitted with a bladed auger. The compost is fed onto a side discharge conveyor from the auger. This ensures that all compost windrows are thoroughly turned and mixed. This most importantly creates and maintains the optimal conditions for composting to take place. In addition a side cutter chain can also be fitted to the left hand side of the machine.

Thanks to its design, the TracTurn 3.7 Compost Turner is also able to accommodate a windrow of any width up to 2.3 metres in height. In addition, material throughput figures in excess of 2300 cubic metres per hour can be achieved in ideal conditions. This figure will vary based upon windrow size, density and stage of composting.

Whilst a tractor with a minimum of 210hp is needed, it is essential that it also has either a creeper or variable transmission. Due to the fact that the TracTurn is a lift arm mounted machine, a tractor with a reverse drive facility is also essential.
