The BFM CM-SDT Pruning Machine range feature twin hydraulically driven rotary slasher cutter bars for the pruning of the side and top of vines. Joystick controls are standard and an independent hydraulic system is available as an option.

The BFM CM-SDT Pruning Machine is available in two different models. Both models feature two rotary blade cutter bars mounted on fixed vertical arms allowing two complete half rows to be trimmed in one pass. The arms have a degree of hydraulic lateral adjustment allowing the CM-SD is able to work in row widths of up to 3.20 metres. Unlike the CM-SD models, the CM-SDT does not have the pantograph arm design so is therefore more suited to use on flat ground. Some adjustment to the angle of the cutter bars is howver possible using the turnbuckles.

CM-SDT 1

The CM-SDT 1 is capable of cutting not only the vertical side of vines but the top as well. It features two 1.43 metre vertical cutter bars and that also have 0.5 metre adjustable angle cutter bars attached to allow the top of vines to be trimmed. Weighing it at 310kg, it is capable of working at forward speeds of 10-12kph. An oil flow of 35 litres per minute is also required.

CM-SDT 2

The CM-SDT 2 is capable of cutting not only the vertical side of vines but the top as well. It features two 1.43 metre vertical cutter bars and that also have 0.75 metre adjustable angle cutter bars attached to allow the top of vines to be trimmed. Weighing it at 320kg, it is capable of working at forward speeds of 10-12kph. An oil flow of 35 litres per minute is also required.

As standard both models are powered by the tractors own hydraulic system. As an option it is also possible to specify a fully independent hydraulic system if required. Joystick controls are fitted as standard. Both models are front mounted with rear mounting also available as an option. Blade rotation speed is adjustable between 2000rpm & 2500rpm
