The GL&D Hercules C150SE Woodchipper is a tractor mounted machine capable of handling material up to 150mm. A tractor of at least 25hp is required.

The GL&D Hercules C150SE Woodchipper is a 3 point linkage mounted chipper capable of handling material up to 150mm.

Chipping is carried out by a 600mm diameter flywheel fitted with four replaceable blades. Material is fed into the flywheel by means of one hydraulically powered toothed roller. Power for these is provided by the machines on board hydraulic system. As a result, no hydraulic connections are needed to the tractor, only a 540rpm PTO is required.

The feed of material into the flywheel is controlled by a “No-Stress” system. This monitors the speed of the flywheel to keep it between two pre-set parameters. As a result, if it’s speed drops below the lower setting, feed to the flywheel is stopped. A 12 volt electrical supply is also required for this system to work.

In addition, both Category I and II lift arm connections are provided. As a result this allows the machine to be used with any tractor of 25hp and above. The machine also has a weight of approximately 500kg.

Outputs of between 10 & 16 cubic metres per hour are possible with the C150SE.
