Full Details

The CAFFINI Rider Vario-Track Self Propelled Sprayer is a strong yet lightweight machine. Thanks to a chassis made from special high strength steels, Caffini have also managed to keep the unladen weight of all models under 6000kg. Packed full of innovative features, the track width can be hydraulically adjusted from the cab from 150cm to 300cm. In addition three steering modes are also standard allowing a steering radius of under 3 metres to be achieved.

Power & Transmission

The Caffini Rider Vario-Track benefits from a Deutz sourced 136hp/100kw Tier 4/5 compliant engine. To meet emissions regulations all engines used also require Ad-Blue. Power to the wheels is supplied by a reliable and dependable Bosch Rexroth hydrostatic system. The Rider Vario-Track was put through rigorous testing prior to launch to ensure that both engine and transmission were capable of handling the toughest of conditions.

Spray System & Booms

Two tank sizes of 2500 and 3000 litres are available. The Rider Vario-Track is available with either 240 or 300 litre per minute diaphragm pumps. In addition, there is also an option to have a 500 litre per minute centrifugal filling pump fitted for a fast turn around.

A wide range of both standard and air sleeve boom widths are available. All booms are Caffini’s own HBM and HBL steel booms which are strong and yet lightweight thanks to the special grades of steel used in their construction.

Operator Environment & Comfort

The specially designed cab benefits from category 4 pressurisation with active carbon filtration. Operator comfort is enhanced by each wheel having its own independent suspension unit. To further increase operator comfort, a pneumatically damped seat is also standard. The large glazed area offers the operator 360 degree visibility of the booms and work area.

IsoBus controls are standard across the range with all controls in easy reach of the operator. All main direction and spray controls are placed on a joystick in the operators right hand. An easy to read screen giving a readout of all of the machines main functions is positioned in the centre of the steering wheel. In addition, a second screen is also positioned to the right of the operator giving all information relating to the spray system.

Optional Equipment

Thanks to its IsoBus control system, a range of optional extras are available to further increase efficiency and also reduce input costs. These include:

GPS AutoPilot – TopCon GPS autosteer system with full IsoBus computer system built into the machine

Section Control Top – GPS controlled single nozzle switching

Vario-Select & Curve Control – these two systems offer not only automatic switching between nozzles but also a curve compensation spray system. This keeps the application rate consistent when spraying anything other than straight lines.

Norac Boom Levelling – When specified with the variable geometry boom, this allows for automatic contour following.

As standard, 270/95r36 wheel and tyre equipment is fitted, a range of other combinations are also available on request. When it comes to cleaning, there is the option to have a hydraulically controlled tank rinsing system fitted that can be actioned from the cab. To further aid ease of cleaning, a pressure washer can also be fitted for cleaning down in the field.
