The Caffini Rafal Smart Vineyard Sprayer is a variable geometry machine that can treat 4 or 6 sides in one pass, 2 diffusers are on each tube with an option to upgrade to 3 or 4 diffusers. TeeJet TXB nozzles are fitted as standard. A tractor with a minimum of 60-70hp is required.

Tanks & Pumps

The Caffini Rafal Smart Vineyard Sprayer models are able to cover four sides and also six sides. The following tank size options are available:

Smart 4:

• 1000 litre
• 1500 litre
• 2000 litre

Smart 6

• 1000 litre
• 1500 litre
• 2000 litre

All models benefit from a 170 litre per minute diaphragm pump. In addition all tanks feature both a clean water tank and also a hand wash tank.

Fan & Application Unit

All Rafal Smart models feature a high speed turbine fan fitted with a centrifugal clutch. Two models of variable geometry booms are available. As standard TeeJet TXB nozzles are fitted to all diffusers, there is also an option to have either low-drift or NAK nozzles fitted however. Two diffusers are fitted to each tube although this can be upgraded as an option to three or four.

In addition, the booms are fully hydraulically controlled allowing for easy adjustments to be made by the operator.

Smart 4

The Smart 4 booms allow for the treatment of two complete rows in one pass. They can also be set to treat one side of four separate rows if required. Two diffusers are fitted to each boom, three are fitted to each of the rear tubes on the fan unit. Consequently, row widths of between 180cm & 300cm can be catered for.

Smart 6

The Smart 6 booms allow for the treatment of two complete rows and also one side of an additional row on each side of the machine in one pass. Two diffusers are fitted to each boom, three are fitted to each of the rear tubes on the fan unit. As a result, row widths of between 180cm & 250cm can be catered for

Controls

Electric spray controls are fitted as standard allowing for independent control of the left & right side of standard. In addition is is possible to fit a higher level of control allowing for electric adjustment of the pressure and also switching of all spray units in one action. The Caffini CB9 spray computer can also be fitted should control of the rate in relation to forward speed is required.

In addition, electric controls can also be fitted for the hydraulic functions of the machine. As a result only one double acting spool valve is needed.

Options

Various options can be fitted to the Rafal Smart models including both a premixer for chemicals and also a canister rinsing nozzle. A 360 degree tank rinsing nozzle can also be fitted.

In addition, to assist with minimising damage to the soil structure, a tandem axle can also be fitted to the 1500 & 2000 litre models. Steering drawbar options also exist for all models.
