The Caffini 045s range of mounted boom sprayers are available with four different tank sizes and boom widths of between 18 and 21 metres. A full range of optional extras are available including full IsoBus control systems.

The Caffini ProFarmer 045s mounted sprayer is the flagship model in the range. Available in a range of boom and tank sizes to suit professional growers. It can be fitted with a range of technological options to increase efficiency.

Tanks & Pumps

The ProFarmer 045s mounted sprayer is available with four different rear mounted tanks:

• 1000litre
• 1200 litre
• 1500 litre
• 1800 litre

In addition and to further increase capacity, a 1200 litre front tank can be added. This front tank is filled from the rear induction bowl for convenience and, as an option, can be fitted with its own wash system. A clean water tank and washing system is standard fitment to the ProFarmer 045s, this can be controlled from the cab as an option. A dry level gauge is fitted to all tank sizes as standard with electronic tank monitoring being optional.

Two pump options of 150 and 200 litres per minute are currently available, these are sourced from well respected manufacturers to ensure reliability is maintained.

Booms

Making use of seven different grades of steel, the 045 booms are light but strong to guarantee a long and trouble free service life. Most importantly to ensure a long lifespan, all movable joints are fitted with replaceable bushes to minimise boom wear. The following boom widths are available:

• 18 metres
• 19 metres
• 20 metres
• 21 metres
• 21/15 metres

Due to the weight, only the 18 metre option is available on the smaller 1000 litre ProFarmer 045s. All booms are hydraulically fold on the rear of the sprayer so there are no concerns with booms striking the tractor cab.

As an option, the ProFarmer 045s can be fitted with auto height sensors. The boom sits on vertical slides allowing height to be adjusted hydraulically. The 045s boom sits on a mechanical suspension system with the ability to control the tilt hydraulically being available as an option. Boom recirculation systems are also available as an option on all boom sizes.

Controls

As standard the ProFarmer 045s mounted sprayer is fitted with Caffini’s own CB9 computer system. The CB9 is a CanBus based control system offering flow rate control based on forward speed. Tractor speed input is by wheel sensor as standard with options for cable and GPS input available. All nozzle control functions are handled through the screen with a separate button box being available as an option if required.

The Caffini Elektroil electro-hydraulic switch box is also fitted as standard to control all of the hydraulic functions of the boom. This can be replaced with a CanBus control box as an option if required. Most importantly for increased efficiency, section control can also be added as an option with its own GPS system.

IsoBus and IsoBus ready control systems are both available as an option. IsoBus ready machines are supplied with a 5.5″ screen as standard, 8″ and 12″ versions are available as an option. All IsoBus ready models are offered with a choice of either the Elektroil box or a joystick for controlling all sprayer hydraulic functions. Full IsoBus models are designed to utilize the tractors existing screen. These are supplied with a switch box for nozzle control, the tractors existing joystick can also control nozzle function. A separate joystick to control both nozzle and spray functions is available as an optional extra.

Technology

As a result of fitting IsoBus and IsoBus ready control systems, a range of technological options become available to increase efficiency. Section control can be fitted to the ProFarmer 045s to utilize your existing system or a Track Leader II system can be supplied with the machine. In addition and in lieu of section control, single nozzle control is also available with IsoBus based control systems.

For those wishing to fully embrace modern technology, Vario-Select nozzle can be fitted in addition to Curve Control. These two additions maintain a consistent spray rate when travelling around bends in fields. To further aid efficiency, a full tank filling control system is available with both IsoBus based options. This allows the tank to be filled to a preset level at which point the pump will shut off automatically. A separate centrifugal filling pump is provided with this option.
